Over $1,100 Raised for the Suncoast Humane Society

Paradise Cove Properties and Deborah’s Interiors held their Grand Opening this weekend 2/13/16 and used the opportunity to support our local Suncoast Humane Society. This celebration took place at their new Placida Rd. location 5855 Placida Rd. It was the place to be! The community came out and enjoyed the afternoon on what we locals describe as “a perfect winter day.”

The Saxy Duo performed all afternoon delighting the crowd with nostalgic music, while local classic car owners brought their cars and shared them with the crowd. Paradise Cove Properties and Deborah’s Interiors were happy to host, meet and enjoy everyone who came by and thank everyone who donated to the Suncoast Humane Society.

“That was such a good time…I think I might just have to do this again next year!” said Jim Benson, owner of Paradise Cove Properties, Inc. Bike Giveaway

The first week of September we posted a Bike Challenge to our local community asking everyone to post their bike riding miles on our facebook page. For every 50 miles, our broker Jim Benson and agent Sue Cooper pledged to donate a bike, helmet and bike lock to area kids in need. We immediately captured the attention of the community and other local businesses started pledging to donate as well. In one week, our community posted over 2,500 bike miles. The South Gulf Cove Community Yacht Club & Charlotte County Head Start worked side by side with us and provided a list of children who qualified to receive their free bike/helmet/lock.

On Saturday, 12/12/15 we hosted the bike giveaway at our home office off of Gasparilla Rd. located at 8300 Wiltshire Dr. Port Charlotte, FL 33981. 46 brand new shiny bikes were parked outside our office, helmets and locks were lined up and we had hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. The sun was shining and we couldn’t have asked for a better weather! We got to meet local bike riders who participated and spent the afternoon with some of the sponsors who donated towards purchasing the bikes.

As we suspected, with it being so close to Christmas, a lot of the parents showed up without their kids with plans of surprising them on Christmas morning with their new shiny bikes. It warms our hearts just imagining the smiles and joy these bikes will bring to the kids on Christmas morning. Thanks again to all who participated! We look forward to bringing this challenge back next year!
